If something feels off in your life, you're not wrong for noticing it
and you don't have to ignore it anymore.
From your voice. From your needs. From the version of you that used to feel clear, confident, and fully alive.
You've been holding it all together. Showing up. Doing what's expected.
You feel burnt out, overwhelmed, and not like yourself anymore.

I know that feeling — because I lived it.
On paper, my life looked good.
I spent over a decade in tech, leading teams and developing leaders — the part I always loved most.
But behind the scenes, everything told a different story.
When I became pregnant with my first son, I got so sick I could barely move. What started as pregnancy sickness became extreme anxiety, agoraphobia, and a world that got very small, very fast.
My husband was sent home after the birth. I delivered alone in a hospital during the first weeks of Covid — no support, no care, no follow-up.
I walked myself out.
My son wouldn't latch. Postpartum depression, anxiety, and rage replaced everything I thought motherhood was supposed to feel like. I didn't recognise myself.

There wasn't one perfect moment — but there was a turning point.
A realisation that I couldn't keep living like that.
So I did the work. Therapy. Coaching. Healing. Anything I could access — I did. Not just to get through it. But to come back to myself.
That experience led me to become a certified postpartum doula — because I never wanted another woman to go through what I went through without someone in her corner.
"I had a hunger to get better. For myself. For my family. For the version of me I knew was still in there somewhere."
When I had my second son, I thought it was my fresh start.
Six weeks later, we got the call we'd been dreading. My brother — who we'd been trying to find — was gone. Alone, in a hotel room.
I had a toddler, a newborn, and grief so enormous I had nowhere to put it.
So I did what so many of us do.
Because a toddler and a newborn don't pause for grief. They just need you.
But I wasn't fine. And I wasn't okay.
I became quiet. Disconnected. Muted.
Once I was finally ready to face it again — to open that door, do the work, and come back to myself — something shifted even deeper.
I realised this wasn't just my story. It was something so many women were silently living through.
So I turned my experience into purpose.

I'm Lauren — mom to two wildly energetic boys, wife to Andrew, and fully devoted servant to Bruce the bulldog, who was my first born and will always hold that title.
Based in Toronto, I spent over a decade in tech before becoming a coach. I'm certified in life coaching, spiritual coaching, and meditation and nervous system regulation. I'm also a certified postpartum doula.
But more than any of that — I've been in the dark place. And I know the way back.
